Scoring at World Finals
When you go to World Finals, you need to remember that your competition will be against the best teams in the world! Judges at World Finals follow the rules very carefully, so it's important that everyone knows the general rules and the particular requirements for your problem.
Scores at World Finals are generally lower than in state tournaments. Sometimes they are much lower. There will be many judges evaluating you, and their scores will be averaged to come out with a final score for you.
It is very important to have all of your paperwork in order. World Finals requires three style forms. Sometimes judges at World Finals ask to see a copy of your receipts to verify your cost form (it has happened to me!), so be sure to have a copy of them with you.
Scores are usually posted at various places around the campus, after the Awards Ceremony. You can usually get them after the ceremony from your association director, too. Soon after the tournament, scores are also posted on the international webpage at www.odysseyofthemind.com
